About Me

Dr. Todd Bowman received his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2008 and has been practicing professional counseling since that time. In 2011, he developed the Sexual Addiction Treatment Provider program at MidAmerica Nazarene University for mental health professionals. He is currently a full-time faculty member in the online graduate counseling division at Indiana Wesleyan University where he has worked since 2014. In addition, he adjuncts at various institutions of higher education across the country.

He continues to write and present nationally and internationally on topics related to sexual health and sexually addictive behavior, including the publication of his first book, Angry Birds & Killer Bees: Talking to Your Kids About Sex (Beacon Hill Press, 2013), with Reclaiming Sexual Wholeness: An Integrative Christian Approach to Sexual Addiction Treatment (Harper Collins) due in 2020.


Dr. Bowman is an avid soccer fan and enjoys golfing with friends. In his free time, he can be found watching his 3 sons play soccer or rooting on his favorite soccer clubs, Arsenal and Sporting KC.
